Hydrogen and e-Mobility: Technologies, Integration, and Optimal Management demystifies hydrogen-fueled transport, from foundational principles to real-world implementation and problem-solving. The book presents conceptual methodologies and techno-economic solutions for the applications of hydrogen in e-mobility, including system aspects of hydrogen-based mobility. This holistic approach covers essential technologies from the fundamental economic and technical assessment of hydrogen-capable vehicles to charging infrastructure, energy storage solutions, and urban public transport.

Presenting a coherent program from global experts, this book supports readers taking their first steps in hydrogen vehicles and offers new insights to researchers and engineers looking for more advanced applications.

J. Jay Liu is a full Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Pukyong National University, Korea. After working in industry for two years, he entered McMaster University (Canada), where he attained a PhD in big data analytics and applied statistics in 2004. Since then, he has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the McMaster Advanced Control Consortium at McMaster University, Canada, and a senior research engineer at Samsung Electronics, Korea, before moving back to academia in 2009. His research interests are currently in the design and analysis of energy systems based on green hydrogen. Mohammad Reza Salehizadeh is currently a Research Professor in the Intelligent System Laboratory at Pukyong National University, South Korea. Prior to this he was an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department of Islamic Azad University of Marvdasht, Iran, and spent 7 years working with the Smart Laboratory Network Lab at the University of Tehran, Iran. His research interests focus on the design and simulation of electricity markets, smart grids, power systems, optimization, decision making, and control. Mustafa İnci is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at İskenderun Technical University, Turkey, where he was previously an Assistant Professor (2018-2020). Prof. İnci was included in Stanford University's list of the World's Most Influential Scientists (Annual Impact Category) in 2021, 2022, and 2023, and has worked on national projects such as PEM fuel cell vehicles, vehicle-to-vehicle charging, and custom power devices. His research focuses on fuel cell electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) systems, advanced multilevel inverters, and custom power devices.
