Spinel Nanoferrites: Physicochemical and Biological Applications follows a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to spinel nanoferrites and their cutting-edge applications across energy, environment, and biomedicine, offering a roadmap to the development of future nano system-based tools. Sections cover structure, properties, classification, characterization techniques, and processing methods. Subsequent chapters guide the reader through various key energy and environmental applications of spinel nanoferrites, including electronics, devices, sensors, wastewater treatment, and catalysts. Magnetic and tailorable properties of nanoferrites are also examined, as is the role of spinel nanoferrites in novel therapeutic applications. Finally, current outlook and future opportunities for these novel nanostructures are considered. This is a valuable resource for all those with an interest in nanoferrites and novel nanomaterials, including researchers and advanced students across nanotechnology, biomedicine, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, materials science, and environmental science, and industrial scientists, engineers, and R&D professionals.

Dr. Ashwini Salunkhe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, at Government of Maharashtra’s Rajaram College, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, in India. Dr. Salunkhe has published 22 research articles, 2 review articles in peer reviewed journals, and 2 book chapters, with total citations of 1,355. He has delivered talks and oral presentations at several scientific conferences and received awards for his research contributions. Dr. Salunkhe has about 11 years of research experience and 6 years of teaching experience. She has supported and supervised different research areas, which include nanomaterials, hybrid nanostructures for cancer theragnostic, magnetic nanoparticles for hyperthermia therapy, magneto structural, magneto transport and electric properties of magnetic nanoparticles. Her special interest also includes developing new devices for various biomedical applications. She has a thriving collaboration with her junior and senior colleagues in India and abroad, which are reflected in authorship list in her publications. Dr. Vishwajeet Khot is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Physics, D.Y. Patil Education Society (Institution Deemed to be University), India. His current research interests include the formulation of multifunctional magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications, such as magnetic hyperthermia, magnetic resonance imaging, and targeted drug delivery. Dr. Nanasaheb Thorat is Principal Investigator funded by the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and Irish Research Council (IRC) Pathway Program at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He is also a Marie Curie Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Oxford, UK. He has been deeply engaged in collaborative work with the many eminent scientists from Japan, USA, Germany, Korea, Ireland, India, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Dr. Thorat has received the European Commission’s innovation Radar “Grand Prix of the Innovation Radar Prize 2020” for developing ground-breaking technology for breast cancer theranostics.
