Zheng Liu is Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is a pioneer in the synthesis of 2D materials, especially atom-thin transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). His contributions to the field of two-dimensional TMDs have attracted tremendous attention and enabled the development of high-performance electronic devices such as broadband mid-infrared detectors, non-volatile programmable p-n junctions and high mobility field-effect transistors. Lixing Kang is Research Fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
