He was co-chair of the Pro-MPEG Forum's File Interchange Working Group on MXF and actively participated in the EBU/SMPTE Task Force. He is also President of Gilmer & Associates, Inc, a management and technology consulting company. Previously, Gilmer worked for 14 years at Turner Entertainment Networks.
