Abstract
The design of energy-efficient MIMO-BICM receivers is still a challenge for research. In this thesis, we analyze each receiver component with respect to systems constraints and present hardware implementation results. We present a modified algorithm for channel preprocessing which simplifies tree search based MIMO detection without increasing the complexity of the channel preprocessing.
