ITIL Version 3 suggère dimplémenter eSCM comme un complément lorsque la gestion de service est réalisée dans le contexte dun accord de sourcing.
Développé par luniversité de Carnegie Mellon University (ITSqc - IT Services Qualification Center), eSCM est utilisé par plusieurs organisations dont lIAOP® (International Association of Outsourcing Professionals).
