Rapid industralization over the last few decades have seen growing problems of groundwater contamination in many parts of the world, especially in the developing world, where regulatory systems are ill-equipped to cope with the problems. Groundwater pollution is caused mainly by anthropogenic activities. This book looks at the physical and engineering aspect of contaminants spread in the subsurface flow regime and aquifer remediation.
