This is an accompaniment to the TV programme "Fantasy Rooms", where Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen transforms all kinds of rooms, from living-rooms in old houses to bedrooms in 60s tower blocks. He redesigns a room to help the viewer create their own fantasy room. It includes many types of styles.
Fantasy Rooms is the companion to the next 6 X 30-minute series of the same name on BBC2. Famous for reducing a woman to tears for transforming her dining room into a red Queen Anne themed room, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is best known as one of the most popular designers on BBC's 'Changing Rooms'. Without the time restrictions of 'Changing Rooms'. 'Fantasy Rooms' can go that extra distance to celebrate flamboyance and experimentation in home design. Transforming all kinds of rooms from living-rooms in old houses to bedrooms in sixties' tower blocks, each week Laurence helps a different viewer create their ultimate fantasy room. Exploring all kinds of styles from Art Nouveau to seventeenth-century France, the series even witnesses the creation of rooms revamped in the style of Seventies retro as well as an Egyptian burial chamber, complete with a sarcophogus dining table, canopic jars and wall decorations in the form of bas-reliefs.
