An undoubtable classic, this landmark book from 2009 remains a vital and comprehensive resource for helping couples explore their intimacy and embrace their true, satisfying sexual style. This classic edition includes a new foreword from renowned sexologist and clinical psychologist Dr. Peggy J. Kleinplatz.

Celebrating 15 years of publication and decades of Dr. Barry McCarthy’s leadership in the field of sexuality, this book provides readers with the tools to understand and energize the bond between sexual partners. The book offers readers three guidelines for sexual satisfaction: develop positive, realistic sexual expectations; explore sensual and sexual options; and communicate sexual desires. Based on several years of research and treating more than 4,000 individuals and couples, Discovering Your Couple Sexual Style contains a wealth of information, guidelines, exercises, and case studies to promote sexual growth and provide support to couples who experience inhibited desire or other sexual problems. The book also includes a straightforward survey to help couples determine which of four couple sexual styles best fits their relationship.
