Algeria is evolving in an international system that is shifting toward a multi-polar order, and this book is about understanding, analyzing, and detailing aspects of the foreign policy led by Algeria between 2020 and 2024, during the first presidential term of Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Our main assumption is that Algeria, a country that was one of the leaders of the Third-World during the Cold War and a partner of the West during the global war on terror, had to adapt to the new international order of the twenty-first century, by imagining a new role for Algeria on the international arena, in continuity with the principles of its revolutionary history, a country that tries to shape the future of the international system by defending a reformist multilateral scheme and with an ambition of remaining one of the "voices of the Global South", to be reckoned with by the main actors of the world order.
Zakari Terbaoui holds a Master's and a PhD in Political Science and International Relations (Algiers 3 University), with a specialization in Strategic and Future Studies.
