Anne M Lucietto, PhD is currently an Associate Professor of Engineering Technology at one of the most highly ranked Engineering Technology programs in the United States. She spent nearly 30 years working in industry, starting in the nuclear power generation facilities in northern Illinois, and after transitioning through a succession of increasingly responsible positions (including Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Caterpillar, and others), left the industry and began doctoral studies at Purdue University in Engineering Education. She graduated and moved into a position at Purdue University, focusing her research on the uniqueness of Engineering Technology students, and a variety of technical areas such as materials engineering, and renewable energy related to power generation and autonomous vehicles. Her work resulted in over 100 published works, including journal articles, conference papers, book chapters, and international recognition. Dr. Lucietto has served in several volunteer roles, from the Chair of the Yorkville Planning Commission (at the time the fastest growing county in the nation), served as treasurer of the Society of Women Engineers (2004-2005), preceded by various leadership roles in the Chicago Regional Section of the Society of Women Engineers, including President. In addition to numerous other recognitions and services, she recently served as a special edition editor of Frontiers in Education - Engineering Technology and Engineering: Incorporating the Humanities Into the Classroom.
