Lidia Mihaela Necula is an Assistant Professor in Philology at "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galați, Romania, where she has been teaching since 2003. She earned her doctoral degree in 2010 with a thesis entitled David Lodge: Novel Wor(l)ds and Media(ted) Communication, which critically examines the interplay between literary innovation and mediated communication. Her scholarly expertise spans British Romantic and Victorian literature, postmodern narrative theory, and the interdisciplinary study of cultural representations. At the undergraduate level, she lectures on Romantic poetry and Victorian literary traditions, while her graduate courses in the Literature, Film, and Cultural Representations MA program explore intercultural communication, artistic expression, and the sociocultural dynamics of literary and cinematic spaces. Beyond academia, Dr Necula serves as Editorial Secretary of Cultural Intertexts, a peer–reviewed journal indexed in many academic databases. Her commitment to bridging scholarly and creative realms is further evidenced by her 2015 postmodern novel, Dragonfly Wings (Aripi de libelulă), a literary exploration of love and identity.
