This discrepancy can lead to misunderstandings, highlighting the need for training programs that promote active listening and cultural sensitivity. Leadership approaches must be adaptable, as Indian workers may thrive under authoritative guidance, whereas Maltese employees often prefer collaborative decision-making. By blending these leadership styles, managers can foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
Lastly, effective conflict resolution techniques are crucial in a multicultural workplace. Strategies such as mediation and open dialogue can help address conflicts amicably, respecting the cultural perspectives of both Indian and Maltese workers.
In conclusion, this study emphasises the importance of integrating cross-cultural management strategies to create a positive work environment that enhances productivity and employee satisfaction in Malta’s diverse workforce.
