In 1980, Iraq invaded Iran, precipitating an eight-year war. Steven J. Zaloga received his BA in History from Union College and his MA from Columbia University. He has worked as an analyst in the aerospace industry for three decades, and has served with the Institute for Defense Analyses. He is the author of numerous books on military technology and history. He currently lives in Maryland, US. Robert McSweeney is a historical artist based in Hampshire, England, passionate about capturing the essence of diverse historical periods through his art.
