Management Science and Engineering (MSE) plays an essential role in modern society. Prof. Jiuping Xu was included as the philosophy and social science leading scholar of the national 'Ten Thousand Project' in 2016, and acted as the Distinguished Professor of "Cheung Kong Scholars Program" since 2009. He has published more than 40 books and more than 700 papers, with more than 13,000 Google Scholar citations, and an H index of 56. He was able to attack problems at the leading edge in applied mathematics and complex physical chemistry engineering with decision, technology innovation and application research. He has also been the President of the International Society for Management Science and Engineering Management since 2007. He has been appointed as Lifetime Academician of International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences in 2010, the Lifetime Academician of Lotfi Zadeh International Academy of Sciences in 2014, the Foreign Academician of Mongolian National Academy of Sciences and Honorary Academician of Academy of Sciences of Moldova in 2016.
