Gembo Tshering is a seasoned educator with a distinguished career in education. He began his professional journey as a mathematics and physics teacher in Bhutan’s government schools. Over the years, he took on leadership roles, serving as Assistant Principal and later as Principal. He also held the position of National Education Assessment Coordinator, contributing to the advancement of educational standards in Bhutan. Dr. Tshering’s commitment to education is further reflected in his academic achievements. He was awarded the NUFFIC Fellowship to pursue a Master of Science in Educational Assessment and Evaluation at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. Building on this, he received both the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship and the La Trobe University Postgraduate Fellowship to support his PhD studies at La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia. Currently, Dr. Tshering is making significant contributions to the field of education as an assistant professor at the Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan. His research interests, which include educational assessment, teacher education, and international education studies, reflect his dedication to improving educational practices and standards.
