Explore volume calculations in real-world scenarios and use a spreadsheet to conduct repetitive volume calculations. Identify how water is distributed throughout the Earth s four spheres and research irrigation and water collection systems used in agriculture. Study poetry, biographical texts, and persuasive writing related to module topics. Present a proposal for a rainwater collection and storage system, including a message about watershed conservation for their local community and a public service advertising campaign. The STEM Road Map Curriculum Series is anchored in the Next Generation Science Standards, the Common Core State Standards, and the Framework for 21st Century Learning.
