Lolita L. Kincade , Ph.D., CFLE, PPS, NCC, LPC, is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Human Development and Family Relations Department at the State University of New York Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, New York. She earned a Ph.D in Family Studies from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Kincade is certified as a Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), and is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her professional interests include improving quality and standards of individual and family life. She has published research on diverse topics, including the intersection of race and gender, and social justice education and advocacy. She has worked with diverse populations in academic, hospital, and community settings, and is experienced in research consultation, program development and planning, non-profit administration, and policy advocacy. Dr. Kincade is motivated to impact and transform institutions of higher education in the interest of students, faculty, and leaders of color. Alicia Brossette , Ed.D., is the Executive Director for Sponsored Projects at the University of North Texas at Dallas. She earned her Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University. For more than a quarter of a century, Dr. Brossette has committed her professional career to advancing the research and scholarship mission of academicians in higher education. A successful thought leader, administrator, educator, and champion of higher educational attainment, Brossette follows in the path of a family of visionary educators, embodying the principles of community investments in academic stewardship by building a solid foundation in educational research and advancement. Dr. Brossette is charged with developing, managing and coordinating the administration of externally funded research and sponsored program activities while ensuring the University maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding the programmatic and financial administration of funded grants and contracts. Further, she manages the research administration processes and ensures the use of best practices for research management, and implements systems to support financial, regulatory, and funding agency requests for data. Ultimately, she is responsible for cultivating high-level relationships with and between all stakeholders for the continued success in fulfilling the mission and long-range goals of the institution. Constance Lacy , LCSW, MAC, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Behavioral Health and Human Services at the University of North Texas at Dallas. Dr. Lacy received a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. With a background in Clinical Social Work, Dr. Lacy has extensive research and intervention expertise in the family court system, specializing in family counseling and community administration. As a Harry S. Truman Scholar, Dr. Lacy has delved into the topics of resiliency among African American Youth and the impact of conflict on distressed children and families. Her research has covered food insecurity, community stress, collective impact, conflict resolution, and mental health. Dr. Lacy has also been an active presenter at national and international forums, sharing her insights on leadership, empowering family systems, and leveraging action research for nonprofit infrastructures, always advocating for a collaborative, inclusive approach. Crystal Benjamin , PhD., CFLE, is a Lecturer of Child Development and Family Studies at UNT Dallas. She holds a Ph.D. in Family Studies and an MS in Marital and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University. She is also a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE). Dr. Benjamin’s scholarly work is now centered on technology integration into mental health practice, and peer support in academia. She has experience working with diverse groups and individuals and has lectured at both local and international universities.
