This book, New Writing Explorations: Researching Creative Writing, investigates creative writing as an area of research, building from a recognition of its qualities as a creative human practice. It presents a critical examination of current methodologies and highlights many of the latest advancements in the field of creative writing studies.
This book’s contributors examine writerly knowledge and action, places and spaces, tested methods and an array of associated concepts. The chapters in the book were originally published as articles and editorials in the New Writing journal. They are accompanied by a new Introduction and Conclusion, as well as a Foreword by award-winning poet and critic, Dan Disney.
Graeme Harper is Editor of New Writing: The International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative Writing.
