Ideas and concepts on how to internationalise teacher education
Students of teacher education need to be prepared for increasingly diverse classrooms. Internationalising their studies is one way to make them aware of the many dimensions of diversity and prepare them for their future lives in the classroom. It is important to expose them to international learning opportunities, to enable mobility abroad and implement international modules into their studies. The DAAD project to internationalise teacher education is conducted with partner universities worldwide. In this volume, members from participating universities present conceptual approaches to the internationalisation of teacher education, examples of good practice as well as results from their research. These shall encourage everyone working in teacher education to shape flexible mobility paths within the student journey.

Kathrin Wild, PhD, is a coordinator for the internationalisation in teacher education at Europa-Universität Flensburg. Her research focuses on barriers to student mobility, multilingual learning and pronunciation learning.

Tina Grummel, MBA, is managing the DAAD project to internationalise teacher education at the University of Oldenburg. She is a senior officer in the field of international education.

Nina Dasouqi, PhD, managed the DAAD project INVITE (International Networking for Virtually Improved Teacher Education) at Ludwigsburg University of Education. She is now teaching French and Economy at a school in Baden-Württemberg.
