It also explores to what extent there is a gap between the EU’s high ambitions of tackling corruption in the Eastern Neighbourhood and its actual legal capability. While EU anti-corruption efforts in Moldova serve as a crucial case study, its engagement in the other candidate countries from the EaP is also incorporated in the analysis.

Mihai-Razvan Corman, Ph.D. (2022), Ghent University, is Manager at the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in charge of preparing a new project in the area of public sector reform. He has published book chapters, studies and articles on EU anti-corruption policy, the Eastern Partnership and Moldova, including "Going back and forth: European Union resilience-building in Moldova between 2014 and 2020" (Routledge, 2021).
