The story of a young girl, who needed to grow up too early because of a war that took her parents away from her. Not only did the war take her parents away, but also her country which felt like the rest of her family was taken away. From one day to the other everyone she cared about was gone and she did not hear her own language anymore only foreign people with foreign ideas who did not allow her to speak her own mind anymore.During her life she only hopes that the sun will rise again as it did before everything happened.

Autor

Adelina Edelhoff was born in Riga, Latvia but grew up in Germany with her Latvian mother. She carries her tragic family history in her heart and has made it her task to make other people aware of the difficult past. Besides, this transgenerational experience is a large part of her identity. She loves to take pictures of small moments and she reads everywhere she can. In her free time she loves to go on hikes, especially in the mountains. Furthermore, exploring other countries and learning about their history is another one of the activities she loves to do when she is not reading a new novel.
