Since their arrival in New France, the Hébert descendants have practiced many trades and developed many talents. If the first generations were essentially farmers, over the decades, their daily occupations were very varied, ranging from ice cutters on Lake St. Louis to mechanics, butchers, policemen and school commissioners. Among the Hebert family, several men also fought in the First and Second World Wars. We also find in this volume, all the other families associated with it: the Bénard, Claude, Continelli, Hébert, Houle, Laberge, Riendeau and Rousse families.

Riendeau-Houle, LucilleLucille Riendeau-Houle is a genealogist, certified researcher, and passionate about family history. She is the eldest of a family of 11 children who lived on a farm in the Montérégie region, south of Montreal. Mrs. Riendeau married Maurice Houle at the age of 18. The couple has two daughters: Manon and Josée and a granddaughter, Stéphanie.
