The anthology is organized into six units, which reflect key themes to help educators reframe social foundations for greater understanding and application in the modern classroom. The units explore current issues involving race and racism, gender and LGBTQIA+ issues, spirituality in education, philosophy and democracy in education, ecological literacy, and the education of marginalized groups. Throughout the anthology, readers are introduced to a variety of educational conundrums and are challenged to think critically and consider the challenges and opportunities that may arise within their future teaching careers.
