He was nominated as Teacher of the Year by the Veterans of Foreign Wars as a result of his and his students' nearly 2,000 interviews with veterans of World War II. Bill Nowlinserved asvice president of the Society for American Baseball Research from 2004 to 2016. He isthe founder of Rounder Records, a former political science professor,and the author of more than 20 books about the Red Sox. Gary Bedingfield is a British historian who has been researching wartime baseball for over two decades. He is the creator ofbaseballinwartime.com. The National World War II Museum, formerly known as The National D-Day Museum, is a military history museum located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana.Its collections include more than 250,000 artifacts and over 9,000 personal accounts supporting major exhibits and research.
