Scientific monograph titled “Modern society’s diverse challenges” covers some of the most interesting research areas of the modern time. Right at the beginning, we are confronted with discussion about the encouragement of mathematical thinking of preschool children through the nature photography prism. Later on, we find out more about an interesting research of a possible impact of contemporary music on partner models, so that we could examine connections between these two important social phenomena. The analysis of popular and modern folk music gives information about social-political perspective of a music content through the perspective of women’s strength and affection for oppression. No matter what the characteristics of today’s “modern time” are, we can see through the certain monograph segments that inclusive education should not necessarily be taken for granted. For that reason, steps for including special needs children in regular education system are anything but easy. Related with this is also the analysis on patient safety in relation with the higher quality health care, which in the following segments includes a case study of some of the factors, which have an impact on the psychosomatic changes among youth with severe behavioural disorders. The analysis, which includes half-structured empathic research of client’s experiences with therapy reveals more categories that have an impact on psychotherapeutic changes. In conclusion, the monograph also contains articles concerning cultural heritage. The focus in this research field is on areas of competences, which are of key importance for experts that work in a cultural institution. In this way, cultural heritage can survive and therefore give us new value or new cultural shapes. Because of that, we can say that reading the material can offer us an interesting perspective on individual new breakthroughs and reflections that direct us towards finding different and new challenges of a modern time.
