George Damaskinidis is Academic Associate at the SemioLab at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Adjunct Faculty at the Hellenic Open University, both in Greece. He is also Scientific Collaborator at the European University of Cyprus and at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education, Greece. His research focuses on visual literacy, intersemiotic translation, multimodal semiotics and research methodology. He is the author of Joint Military English: A Specialized Language Course (2008), and Η ερευνητική πρόταση στη μεταπτυχιακή και διδακτορική έρευνα [The Research Proposal in Postgraduate and Doctoral Research] (2014). His publications include research articles, book chapters, and edited volumes. Anastasia Christodoulou is Associate Professor of Semiotics in the Department of Italian Language and Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Her research interests focus on issues pertaining to semiotic text and image analysis, mainly in the field of education and in the broader social sphere. At postgraduate level, she has taught in the Cultural Management Programme at the Hellenic Open University, Greece, and in the 'Cultural Studies: Semiotic Structures and Practices' programme offered by the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia.
