This faith manifests as a form of civil, or secular, religion with its own core documents, creeds, oaths, ceremonies, and even individuals. Jason A. Edwards is associate professor of communication studies at Bridgewater State University. Joseph M. Valenzano III is associate professor and chair of the Department of Communication at the University of Dayton.
