Elizabeth Tebeaux, Professor of English at Texas A&M University, USA has taught technical writing and worked as a technical writer for nearly 40 years. She began her research on the history of technical writing in 1988 and based her work on her knowledge of English literary history of the Renaissance and the seventeenth century, two main areas of her doctoral work. Tebeaux has nearly two dozen publication on history, has served actively in the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, and works with the honors office at Texas A&M to help students prepare proposals for major grants.
