Lawrence E. Susskind is the Ford Professor of Urban and Environmental Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and was the founding director of the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program as well as the Consensus-Building Institute. For his career of services to improving consensus-building practice, Professor Susskind received the first Kenneth Cloke Peacemaker Award for outstanding and lasting contributions in International Peace-building by Mediators Beyond Borders. Saleem H. Ali is a Professor at the Sustainable Minerals Institute, University of Queensland Australia where he also directs the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining and is a faculty member in the Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program within the university's School of Pol
