Carole Sharman began her career in the medical profession, working in hospitals and with children under 5 in the community. After retraining, she taught in an infant school and then in Further Education where she became head of department for Early years and Special Educational needs. Wendy Cross began her career as a nursery nurse, ending up running her own successful nursery. After gaining her Cert Ed she taught in Further Education where she was course leader for CACHE courses and an assessor and verifier for NVQ level 2 and 3 in Early Years. Diana Vennis began her career as a Nursery/Infant teacher. Following this she worked in Further Education for 25 years where she was lecturer and supervisor for the NNEB/CACHE courses. She was an external verifier for CACHE, a registered Ofsted Inspector for Early years and an Associate Inspector for the Adult Learning Inspectorate.
