It delves into multiple layers of the human personality as envisaged by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother and explores a new developmental science of consciousness based on the practice of Integral Yoga. The book examines the major metatheoretical conceptions that shape the contemporary discipline of developmental psychology and discusses the ways in which Sri Aurobindo’s philosophical and psychological perspective can help break fresh ground for developmental theorisation and research by extending the current understanding of the human evolutionary potential.

Monica Gupta is Assistant Professor, Department of Elementary Education, Gargi College, University of Delhi. She is also closely associated with International Centre for Integral Studies, Gnostic Centre and New Delhi in an honorary capacity. She is interested in exploring new formats of learning and research expressing the deeper subjective and spiritual modes of being based on Sri Aurobindo's and The Mother’s writings. Her work extends to areas like Integral Education, Integral Psychology and Self Development and Teacher education curriculum renewal.
