It's in-depth survey includes relevant laws and policies from all fifteen of the countries that emerged from the USSR, as well as conventions dealing with migrants and refugees concluded by such organizations as the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the ILO, the European Union, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The work of non-governmental organizations in the field is also taken into account.
