This special collection of original articles is designed to acquaint readers with the most recent American scholarship on colloquial Russian (CR). The Editor: Margaret H. Mills is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Russian at the University of Iowa. She received her Ph.D. in Slavic Linguistics from the University of Michigan, and served as Assistant Professor of Russian at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Her publications and research focus on issues of syntax, intonation and pragmatics in contemporary colloquial Russian.
