George Mitchell is an author, photographer, and folklorist who lives in Atlanta. His other books include "Blow My Blues Away"; "I'm Somebody Important"; "Yessir, I've Been Here a Long Time"; "Southern Portraits"; and "Ponce de Leon." Mitchell has recorded and produced more than thirty-five record albums and compact discs of traditional southern music.
