Micki Myers’s Prose & Cons is a literary card game like Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples, and What Do You Meme - but this is suitable for all ages. Based on works of literature, both classic and contemporary, Prose & Cons players compete to describe characters from popular books in the most fitting-yet-funny way.
The beauty of Prose & Cons is that it easily allows players to imagine their favorite characters inhabiting wholly different literary worlds or attributing to them new and witty personalities, skills, and characteristics, in a countless number of combinations. Simply take turns judging which description card (examples: Motto: Haters gonna hate, Slays, or Gaslighter) matches the round’s character card (Hamlet, Lizzie Bennet, or Peter Pan) best, and award the winner with said character card. The player with the most character cards at the end of the game wins. Perfect for any fan of books, movies, or pop culture, Prose & Cons will have players laughing and learning for hours of fun.

Micki Myers taught writing and literature at the University of Pittsburgh for 17 years and has taught English writing and literature at the middle and high school level for the past 11 years, including AP Literature & Composition. She has taught over 100 works of fiction, including many classic novels. As a prizewinning author, Micki's work has been widely published in literary journals; she is the author of two books: Trigger Finger (Pearl Editions), and It’s Probably Nothing… (Simon & Schuster), and co-author of the Supersaurs novel series (Picadilly Press).
