Alan Lee and John Howe are both production designers on the forthcoming Lord of the Rings feature films. Ted Nasmith painted the Illustrated Silmarillion, and Roger Garland contributed many 1980s Tolkien cover designs. David Wenzel painted the Hobbit Graphic Novel, and Pauline Baynes illustrated a number of Tolkien books in the 1950s.
