The originals were all created by hand using the traditional tools of compass and straight edge. Richard Henry is an artist and educator with a specialism in Islamic Geometric Patterns. He has developed courses for the British Museum and the Prince's School of Traditional Arts in London. He also teaches internationally.

Richard Henry is an artist and one of the UK's leading tutors in the geometry of Islamic patterns. He has devised courses on the subject for the British Museum, and undertaken field studies in Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Turkey and Iran.
