The Congruence Card Sort is a technique to assess an individual's personal/vocational interests. Card sort techniques have a variety of advantages over traditional pencil-and-paper approaches to assessment including: they can be presented as a game rather than a test; they are usually less stressful and anxiety provoking for the client; they allow more interaction on a continuing basis between the card sort administrator and the client; and they allow the client to verbally modify or explain particular responses where necessary.
