Mary Packard has written over 250 books for both children and adults. She began her love affair with books at a young age, and today she writes books that she herself would enjoy reading. For her, writing is a fun way to explore new subjects and to try out things she might not have done in real life--such as climbing mountains or swimming with sharks. In delving into the Tarot, she discovered a richly layered tradition suffused with universal symbolism. She found as well that the Tarot can be appreciated on a variety of levels--from a purely historical and artistic perspective to one where the cards have many stories of their own to tell. Fay Martin discovered her love of illustration as a teenager, when black fine-liner pens became her favorite medium. She graduated from the Falmouth School of Art with a specialization in Illustration, and then graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth, with a concentration in the Pre-Raphaelites and Art Nouveau. Gustav Klimt has served as a major inspiration to her, along with Japanese block prints and pointillist art. Fay lives in Lichfield, Staffordshire, England, totally immersed in developing new styles and techniques with her beloved fine-liner pens.
