Called the Gibson Les Paul Custom, this entirely black guitar was an expertly decorated work of art, dubbed 'Black Beauty' It featured a mahogany top, the new Tune-o-matic bridge, and an Alnico-5 magnet in the neck position. In 2007 Gibson released a new edition to celebrate the anniversary of this classic.
