Ian Coutts is a freelance writer about and commentator. He regularly contributes to Taps: The Beer Magazine and is a frequent speaker on beer and beer history. His books include The Perfect Keg which chronicles his adventures in trying to make beer from absolute scratch – growing the barley and hops, learning to malt, capturing wild yeast.
