Allan Farnsworthóof the contract law of the Soviet Union and the U.S. Each an authority on the law of his land, the authors explain concisely the contract law of their respective societies. In a jointly-written afterword, the authors offer some points of commonality, particularly with reference to the historical reception of the law by each nation and the attempts by each to unify the body of contract law.
