Parker, a prominent American comparative criminal justice scholar, conducted his field study on various research fellowships which afforded him the opportunity to utilize primary resources: his book includes interviews with Finnish criminal justice practitioners, scholars, police officers, probation officers, and criminal offenders themselves.
