The Adaptive Reading Scales are purpose-designed for on-screen, standardised assessment of reading ability from age 8 to 16+. The computer-adaptive program is sensitive to each pupil's answers, selecting and presenting new questions that are optimally matched to his or her own ability, and opening up a new dimension of mixed-ability group performance evaluation. - Offers standardised, on-screen assessment and instant results, in about 30 minutes: ideal for whole-class screening and progress monitoring - Draws on the complete question bank to match questions to each pupil's own ability - Automatically calculates standardised scores, percentiles, reading ages and National Curriculum levels - Flags reading ages which are a year or more behind chronological age - Generates individual reports, plus comprehensive class and whole yeargroup listings and performance analyses - Enables individual progress monitoring, across successive test administrations Includes optional audio-support for younger and less able pupils The Adaptive Reading Scales are fully networkable for whole-school use and come with a two-year licence.
