Don't Call Me a Dinosaur! takes readers on a fun, fact-filled journey as they learn what is, and absolutely ISN'T, a dinosaur.
Do you know what a dinosaur is?
Don't be so sure until you've read Don't Call Me a Dinosaur!
The first installment in the 'Don't Call Me a . . .' series:
Get ready for a fun and fascinating adventure into the world of science for young readers!
Ever thought all shiny things in space are stars? Or that everything swimming in the sea must be a fish? Think again!
This brand-new picture book series turns science on its head with exciting adventure stories that bust common myths. Each book follows a curious child and their toy as they journey through space, the ocean, the forest and even prehistoric times – only to discover that things aren’t always what they seem!
Along the way, they’ll meet amazing creatures and objects who set the record straight:
“Don’t call me a star – I’m a moon!”
“Don’t call me a fish – I’m a dolphin!”
“Don’t call me an insect – I’m a spider!”
“Don’t call me a dinosaur – I’m a pterosaur!”
With lyrical storytelling, breathtaking illustrations and plenty of fascinating facts, this series is a perfect introduction to early STEM concepts. Each book wraps up with a fun fact file, making it a great way for kids to explore science, nature and the animal kingdom – all in an engaging, giftable format.
Written by the brilliant Charlotte Guillain, fact-checked by experts, and vibrantly illustrated by Sally Agar, these books are a must-have for curious young minds!
In 'Don't Call Me a Dinosaur', curious duo Remi and Toucan go on an adventure through time to search for dinosaurs, meeting lots of indignant prehistoric creatures that are NOT dinosaurs along the way. The reader is introduced to amphibians, pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, crocodiles and more, until finally they find some dinosaurs. The excitement doesn’t stop there when they realise there are still dinosaurs living on the Earth today – birds!
