Jaque Jours started out doing technical drawings, but characters soon found their way in, leading her to storytelling. She is now an author and book illustrator. For her, Día de Muertos is about the stories that emerge from memories, she also loves eating pan de muerto, el papel picado, and the scent of cempasúchil flowers.
