The Reeds Western Almanac is ideal for any boater lucky enough to cruise and race in the superb waters off the coast of Scotland or Ireland. It offers ready access to essential navigatio information by virtue of its clear layout and user-friendly format. Topics include pilotage, tides, safety, navigation, radio, lights, waypoints, weather forecast information around UK and European waters, communications, Mayday and distress procedures. Spiral binding allows the almanac to be opened flat on the chart table and the large type size and clearer improved layout makes information easy to read even in adverse conditions. Covering the coastline from Cape Wrath to Padstow as well as the whole of Ireland, it is the complete guide for both Irish and Scottish mariners as well as those cruising the UK west coast. Free supplements of up to date navigation changes available from January to July.

He currently owns a Westerly Fulmar, and lives in Sherborne, 30 miles south of Bristol in Dorset, England's most beautiful county. Peter Lambie grew up on the waterfront next door to the Island Sailing Club at Cowes. He spent his childhood mucking about in boats and got involved with the 'sailing scene'. He has raced extensively in the Solent & offshore and has spent many seasons cruising North European and UK waters. He had a 35 year professional career at sea during which time he rose to serve as Master of Trinity House Lighthouse Tenders, Coastal Environmental Survey Vessels, Cross Solent High Speed Passenger Catamarans and Ro-Ro Passenger Ferries.
