The author also emphasizes that there is but one formula for a Bible-authorized baptism. The author by inspiration of the Scriptures teaches that the second step in the plan of salvation is water baptism, as the first is repentance. The author teaches that ignoring the second step will result in coming short of the divine plan of God for salvation. This he says is to settle for something less than the best God has for us.
