Consisting of ministerial statements, diplomatic letters, Parliamentary debates, and similar material relating to the official UK position on all aspects of international law, "UK Materials on International Law, (UKMIL)" is an invaluable resource for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers. The material is arranged in accordance with the Council of Europe Model Plan, dividing the whole of international law into 18 main categories with several further levels of sub-headings. This unique electronic resource contains all of the material from 1975 to 2001 (over 3500 pages of printed matter) in an easily accessible and portable format. Users can simply click on the category or sub-category of international law in which they are interested or they can type key words into a browser for instant access to all relevant material. Provisional System Requirements are: Windows: Windows 95, 98, or NT4.0 (Service Pack 3 or later); Intel Pentium Processor (90 MHz or above); 16MB RAM (32MB recommended); Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or above (provided on the CD-ROM if necessary); 10MB hard disk space (60MB if Internet Explorer 4.0 also required); and Graphics card capable of 16-bit colour or better (also known as High Colour or True Colour).
Geoffrey Marston is Lecturer in Law and fellow of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He has compiled UKMIL for the British Year Book since 1975.
